Central to St. Cletus Catholic School's curricular goals is the teaching of religion. We are a ministry of the Catholic Church, and the Catholic faith is integrated into the physical, social, academic, and emotional development of the whole child. Likewise, religion is a required subject and is taught on a daily basis to all students regardless of religious affiliation. Students are required to participate fully in the religion component of the school.

Weekly classes in art, computer science, library, and physical education provide opportunities for students to explore their interests, build new skills, and grow in confidence. These programs complement our academic curriculum by nurturing students’ imagination, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and fostering digital literacy—all within a supportive, faith-based environment.

Enrichment Curricular

St. Cletus is proud to offer its students the latest in educational technology.
Students in Pre-K through Seventh grades attend weekly computer classes. Pre-K and Kindergarten students begin learning basic mouse skills and interaction with computers through a series of learning games. First through Fifth grade students are introduced to topics such as basic keyboarding skills, mouse skills, moving within Google, parts of the computer, basic internet safety, and curriculum enrichment software. Students become proficient in typing and computer skills utilizing Microsoft and Google applications.
In addition, every classroom is equipped with student computers and interactive flat panels. St. Cletus provides devices for one-to-one computing for all students grades Pre-K through Seventh.

Students attend biweekly art classes.During art week, our Pre-K through First grade students have projects that correspond to their library story time. These projects introduce them to art and focus on developing fine motor skills.Our Second through Seventh graders are taught the visual elements of art while applying them to various art techniques. The aim of the art program is to develop the students' interests and skills in a variety of art forms.

The physical education program emphasizes the development of basic gross motor skills, fitness improvement, individual and team sports skills, and cognitive skills. These skills are developed through a variety of drills, lead-up activities, games, and classroom instruction.Fourth through Seventh grade students can participate in after-school sports which are played in competition with other school teams in the Catholic School Athletic League.

Students attend biweekly library classes.Our library is home to over 10,000 books and has desktop computers to access helpful resources such as Destiny Discover, BookFlix, and World Books Online.During Library Week, Pre-K through First graders enjoy weekly story time and learn about authors and parts of the book. First through Seventh graders check out books as well as learn essential library and research skills.
